(Back to my interview analogy) If the interview consists of 5 proxy files that make up my one interview clip, when I attach those proxies, it seems to only attach the one file, and not the remaining 4 as well. It's as if when I'm attaching the proxies, it's not seeing all the other files that make up that one proxy clip. I'm importing the Red clips into Premiere via the Media Browser. This was not happening in previous versions of premiere. Premiere proxies: All clips freezing at the same point LuckyArc New Here, I'm shooting 5k on a Red Scarlet Weapon with the camera creating 2k ProRes 422LT proxies in-camera. I have restarted the app and the computer but that does not fix the problem. Does that make sense? So, the point that the freeze is occurring is point at which the first proxy clip ends. I have been editing 4K footage in previous versions of Premiere but now when playing back on the timeline, the first clip freezes after a few seconds while the soundtrack continues playing. My specs are pretty bad, but not terrible. It's not like the program freezes, just the playback. But, in a project, when I skip to a certain part, the playback freezes and I can't play the video at all. So, going back to that interview clip, if the Red camera splits the interview into 5 different files, it will split the proxy into 5 files, cut at the same time code. Hello I have been using Premiere Pro and I love it so far. Things I’ve done to try to fix the issue: Updated all software with restarts. I discovered this when trying to view the end of the clip to make sure all the footage was in a timeline. I just try to select them and Premiere freezes with the beach ball. The components that could cause these problems are the following: RAM Graphics Card Hard disk 3. So stop using Motion Graphics created by After Effects. The MOGRT is prone to get stuck at 15 and causes Premiere Pro 22.0 unresponsive. Option 1: Frame Hold Options The Frame Hold Options gives you a lot of control over which frame is frozen, including the in and out points, based on time code, or at the point, you place your playhead. Hardware issues: It is also important to consider the possibility that some of your computer components are failing. Stop using Motion Graphics Template (MOGRTs) Created by After Effects Roughly 50 PP users complain online about Premiere Pro 2022 hanging or freezing when using Motion Graphics with After Effects. Red cameras also, split the proxies at the same time code, regardless of the size of that proxy. I can’t even select the problematic clips. Driver issues: If your audio or video drivers are outdated, these could cause various types of problems. So, if I shoot one 20 minute interview, it will only see one clip instead of all the files that will make up that clip. My solution (sad), it of that if I need to go to another program for a bit, make sure to hit play in Premiere Pro before moving on to another program and let. But, since Premiere is smart, when you import footage through the Media Browser it just sees each clip instead of all the individual files. So, any one clip can actually be multiple files. Okay, I think I've just solved a major piece of the puzzle (though not the whole puzzle just yet).
